The houseboats are well maintained and offer comfortable accommodation along with all the basic amenities required for a pleasant stay. The hospitality of the houseboat owners was remarkable. They were welcoming and friendly, which added to my vacation's joyous experience.

The trip would not have been complete without exploring the famous tourist spots. The visit to the magnificent Mughal gardens was a surreal experience that gave me a glimpse of the rich Mughal history. The gardens are well-maintained and offer a peaceful ambiance, which is perfect for nature lovers. Walking through the gardens felt like walking through a painting with a myriad of colours and fragrant flowers.

Another exciting place I visited was the Khardungla Pass, the highest motorable road in the world. It was a thrilling experience to drive through the winding roads amidst the snow-capped mountains. The breathtaking view from the pass was something that will be etched in my memory. The adventure doesn't stop there. I also went for trekking on some of the popular trekking trails in Kashmir. The trekking trails offer a view of the valleys, local flora and fauna, and the dense forests.

Apart from the scenic beauty, Kashmir is also renowned for its cuisine. The rich and flavourful food of Kashmir is a must-try for everyone. The traditional Kashmiri Wazwan is a mouth-watering dish that is a delicacy in the state. The dish comprises of various meat dishes served with rice and is a must-have when visiting the state.
