The main speaker will be Richard Radcliffe who will present and discuss concepts around the theme of 'Legacies - Making it dead easy'
Legacies are not about death and dying but about the future life of your charity. This programme will inform you of: the outcomes of research with almost 15,000 donors in various focus groups and will debate the legacy visions and legacy communications which can be used by all charities - possibly at no cost at all. The programme will debate each method of communication and assess what works and what does not.
According to Richard Radcliffe, this seminar will be a really challenging fun and practical day, full of great tips and new information which will leave participants ready to take legacy action, at no cost, immediately!
About the Presenter:
Richard Radcliffe, FinstFCert, has over 27 years fundraising experience - the last 15 in legacies. He had met donors, volunteers and beneficiaries from around the world and he has trained thousands of fundraisers. He is admired throughout the fundraising world for his in-depth knowledge on legacy fundraising, his great presenting style and his ability to make people laugh while learning.
Richard probably knows more about marketing bequests than anyone else on the planet. He has conducted a staggering number of focus groups -- over 800, for over 250 nonprofits - asking donors who have put gifts in their wills about their attitudes, motivations and communications needs.
He has worked with non-profits in the USA, Canada, throughout Europe, Middle East, Malaysia and many other places. He has an outrageous British sense of humour and is passionate about his work.
He speaks regularly at the International Fundraising Congress (where he was past Chair) the Institute of Fundraising Conference UK (past Chair) and has spoken at AFP conferences in the USA and Canada. In fact he finds it difficult to stop speaking!
An Irish Flavour
To bring an Irish flavour to the day, Nicola Mullen, Chair of Legacy Promotion Ireland will speak about this excellent example of collaboration within our sector for common gain. Specifically, members of Legacy Promotion Ireland will play their new 'My Legacy' TV advertisement to be launched by Richard the previous day. Nicola will also give a brief outline of the role of the organisation and how to get involved.
Fundraising Ireland would like to thank the Four Seasons Hotel for its generous donation of the room for this and all Fundraising Ireland events.
